For instance, if you want to withdraw Rs. 5000, the proper format is – Five thousand only/-. Make sure you begin writing immediately after the printed text 'Rupees.'
Amount in numbers – You must also state the amount in numbers in the box on the right hand side. So write 5000/–.



Signature — After you've indicated the amount, sign on the line that says 'Please sign above.' It should be identical to what you have on file at the bank. Please double-check any errors because the sign should be legible. There should be no overlapping writings.
You must additionally sign the reverse of the check with an additional signature so that the bank authorities can easily match and validate it. Also, underneath your signature, write down your registered mobile number (back side only).

When filling out a self-withdrawal check, please be very careful because one error can invalidate the check and make it unusable.
