You can withdraw money from your bank account in a variety of ways, including cash withdrawal using a bank cash withdrawal form, cash withdrawal using a check using the self-drawing method, or cash withdrawal from an ATM machine using a debit card and pin. One of the most popular approaches is self-withdrawal via check.
Date — First and foremost, you must specify the date on which you wish to withdraw the funds. You must enter the digits in the appropriate areas, using the DDMMYYYY. So, if you wish to write 30 July 2022, you'll need to use the number 30072022.
Pay – After that, you must 'write the entire name of the individual' to whom you are granting access to the funds. If you're undertaking a self-withdrawal, the check must be marked 'SELF'.
Amount in Rupees – This is where you tell how much money you wish to take out of your account. You must write down the amount you have decided.
For instance, if you want to withdraw Rs. 5000, the proper format is – Five thousand only/-. Make sure you begin writing immediately after the printed text 'Rupees.'
Amount in numbers – You must also state the amount in numbers in the box on the right hand side. So write 5000/–.
Signature — After you've indicated the amount, sign on the line that says 'Please sign above.' It should be identical to what you have on file at the bank. Please double-check any errors because the sign should be legible. There should be no overlapping writings.
You must additionally sign the reverse of the check with an additional signature so that the bank authorities can easily match and validate it. Also, underneath your signature, write down your registered mobile number (back side only).
When filling out a self-withdrawal check, please be very careful because one error can invalidate the check and make it unusable.
When writing a check for a third party, we always write A/C Payee at the top so that the money is solely credited to the third party's account. However, you must not specify A/C Payee when making a self-withdrawal.
